Two women move to the country looking for a quiet life. But their rural idyll is put under threat by a marauding fox and the arrival of a young soldier returning from the war. His presence in the house will set the women apart and change their lives forever. Marking the 75th anniversary of the death of DH Lawrence, this is a contemporary re=telling of one of his finest stories, fusing the sensuality of Lawrence's tale with music from Janacek's opera The Cunning Little Vixen.
