Details

On New Year's Eve 1938, Vera, a sophisticated Manhattan socialite, and her husband Joe, an influential theatre producer, return home after attending a party. Trapped in a bitter marriage, Vera is surprised to find she has captured the attention of a young playwright and has to make a choice between her new passion and her existence as the 'fat man's wife'.
