The Devil at Midnight archiveOne evening, psychoanalyst Elizabeth Burns is visited by Nicki, a young woman who is subjected every night to dreams of a man who steals her from her bed and takes her to a dark house by the sea. Liz is instantly alerted to the fact that the young woman has suffered some form of abuse during her childhood and as the play unfolds, it seems likely that Liz's husband, Jack, is responsible for Nicki's trauma; however, the truth behind Nicki's visit hides much deeper.
