When Ethel Savage's husband dies, leaving her ten million dollars, she sets up a fund to help people pursue their dreams. Her stepchildren are horrified and have her committed to a sanatorium. As Ethel settles in among the eccentric but kind residents of The Cloisters and her gruesome stepchildren continue their attempts to grab the money for themselves, we begin to wonder just who the 'crazy' ones are. A gentle comedy exploring the old adage: 'you can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family'
