It's Christmas Eve in New England but all is not well in the Carpenter household - with their marriage on the rocks, a son who is going off the rails, a pig's head in the oven and a curfew starting any moment what else could possibly go wrong for Kyle and Caroline? Enter Zack a cat burglar with a short fuse. After a botched burglary, the family are taken hostage, and they just don't car. The burglary was a mistake, but the Carpenters are a disaster! You'll laugh, you'll wince, you'll be glad this appalling family isn't yours.
