Double standards in high places, sleaze in public life. Sounds familiar? This specially commissioned comedy (with live music) about the ins and outs of life in local politics echoes some recurring themes. Jack Phoenix has to get both his life and his waistline in order when he falls in love with Doxy Qyigley, Shem MacMor, Jack's longtime drinking companion, is the wastrel son of local party TD Sean MacMor. The Bren, county manager and Corkman, has schemes going. He and Ronan O'Nion, a well-known ruffian, conspire to rob the other party of documents and files. But just when things seem to be quietly falling into place, dark secrets theraten to come to light and who will take the fall?
