The Callanish Stoned archiveThe Callanish Stoned is a humorous, inventive, fast-moving bi-lingual play based around a night s tensions and shenanigans during Summer Solstice at the Callanish Stones on the Isle of Lewis. Three friends travel to Callanish and meet up with some eccentric visitors who comprise an annual Callanish Stone Circle sub-culture. The play is partly performed in Gaelic and Stornoway slang, but the storyline is easy to understand for non-Gaelic speakers.
