Streaming archiveThe intertwining stories of three people in turmoil create a cutting portrait of contemporary life, sexual objectification and paternal failure. Rosa is 15. After the death of her mother and the breakdown of her father, she seeks solace in the friendship of her reclusive new neighbour, whose home-grown business earns her £3.50 a minute, 20 times a night. With evocative sound design, a shape-shifting set, projection and puppetry, Streaming is a rites of passage story for a modern age where walls become veils and private becomes public. Privately educated and privileged, Rosa and her father struggle to adjust to new surroundings after the finances of the family unravel. In their boxy new flat on the far edges of London they meet next door neighbour Candy, who fascinates and intrigues both father and daughter. While the alienation between them begins to take root, Rosa seeks refuge in this new friendship while her father's delusional attempts to salvage their former lifestyle leave her desperate to seek a resolution to the family's problems. When Candy's illness offers a way in to the webcam industry for the first time, Rosa's life changes forever.
