Stockwell Good Neighbours Sing for Their Supper archiveStockwell Good Neighbours, a group of mainly West Indian older people who meet weekly at Oval House Theatre, present, through songs and stories, an account of their lives and memories: from being in Jamaica to coming to London in the 1950s. Songs include such gems as 'Oh Island in the Sun, Given to Me By My Father's Hand', 'Come On, Let's Twist Again' and 'Ackee, Rice, Saltfish are Nice, But the Rum is Fine Any Time of Year'. There will also be an opportunity to join in during 'Barby's Karaoke'. You are also invited to come and join us an hour before the show starts to meet the group and share some home-made Caribbean food which will be on sale.
