A poetic story that follows the lives of young people living in Afghanistan today. Some try to come to terms with the fractured nature of Kabul - the city that they have grown up in. Four singers face an Afghan Star final where far more than millions is at stake and a mother looks back on her past as the nation's first female crane driver. Incorporating music, myth and ancient Afghan tales, this captivating piece explores identity, religion, the power of song and how hard it can be to simply be one's self.
