"I was never right ever since I was born - but why is a mystery for what they have not got an answer". Lee Hall's Award winning Spoonface Steinberg was initially on BBC Radio 4 and BBC TV in 1997. It follows a 7 year old autistic girl as she struggles to make sense of a complicated world. In her innocence she plumbs the darkest places with a constant sense of hope, naivety and humour. Spoonface explores her family life, her Jewish heritage and her surprising obsession with opera. The play is interwoven with opera arias sung by Maria Callas.
