Details
Lisa Wright was a drama teacher in a large inner-city comprehensive for more than thirty years before becoming a Church of England priest. In September 1953 she set off fresh from college to teach in the USA. Her mother, Margot, wrote to her every week for two and a half years. In this show, which Lisa took to the Edinburgh Festival 2004, she reads the letters which so vividly depict vicarage life of fifty years ago and an East End social scene long gone. A fascinating, witty and entertaining evening.
