Details
On six moonlit Montreal balconies on a sultry August evening, eleven people tell their stories of love. Piecing together the landscape of a love affair, they trace the gradations between intoxicating highs and heartbreaking lows. Tremblay's
Solemn Mass for a Full Moon in Summer was inspired by the amazing discovery of a lost mass by Hector Berlioz. Dispensing with religious themes. Tremblay uses the rituals within a traditional mass to lay bare the different characters' overpowering emotions, elicited by the magic of a glorious full moon. The result is a powerful, moving and truly unique exposition of the nature of love, in a robust earthy translation.
