Brand new short play festival. Short Cuts features a trio of new short plays from three up and coming writers. They are blackly comic, sharp and innovative pieces of theatre. Under the Skin - Four people are locked in a room, unable to leave. One grows cynical, one falls in love, one chain smokes and one becomes addicted to bat and ball. If only they were more concerned with why their patient is still lying on the operating table... Headcase - Julie has a bash on the head, Tracie is in fear of losing her family and Anne..? Well, she doesn't want to say. Three people, one A&E waiting room and an impatient receptionist. What could possibly go right? The Conker Ferrets - Toad and Thingy are Conker collectors. Like the bumble bees and polar bears, conkers have become almost extinct. When they get a call from the head conk it becomes clear that the conkers aren't the only things that are endangered.
