For Holmes, Watson's funeral stimulates a range of emotions and reminiscences about their meeting, the setting up of Holmes as the 'world's first consulting detective' and some stories tat illustrate their close friendship. The first act ends with the dramatic interview between Holmes and Moriarty, and the apparent death of Holmes at the Reichenbach Falls. Act two describes Holmes journeys during his apparent death. We learn of his childhood, the manslaughter of his cruel father, and the effect this had on his life. Saw this show at The Customs House in South Shields and was spellbound. Absolutely loved it - Llewellyn was a fantastic Holmes, he had the mannerisms so perfect and carried it off incredibly well. I loved it and would definitely see it again.
