In Jane Austen's classic, the difference between sisters Marianne and Elinor Dashwood lies not only in their appearance, but also in their temperament. Sense and Sensibility explores love and the threat of losing love, and is a wry commentary on the expectations placed upon gentry women in the eighteenth century.
