Glitzy American stars rub shoulders with the winners of Opportunity Knocks, and a heady mixture of ambition, rivalry, lust and terror threaten to rub the gilt off the showbusiness gingerbread forever. Will it all fall apart in front of the very nose of the Royal Personage?
