Details
Fifteen people huddle in an air raid shelter as the Luftwaffe mercilessly assault Liverpool. They pass the time telling stories of love, tragedy and loss, singing and making do with the odd bottle of stout and a pan of scouse. Class differences, petty squabbles and black market deals raise tensions as they desperately let old acquaintances be forgot and prepare to welcome in a happier new year... Combining humour and warmth, pathos and tragedy, songs and dancing. Red Skies is a salutary and timely reminder of the horrors of war, both then and now.
