An acclaimed South African drama, set in a travelling amusement park on the outskirts of a small town in author Athol Fugard s beloved Karoo. A powerful allegory, it centres on events over New Year s Eve 1989, as two men -Gideon, a young white returnee from the border and Martinus, a black night watchman - meet accidentally. As the eighties become the nineties, they work through their differences and the shared nightmare of recent history towards reconciliation and the hope of peace. Contains strong language and descriptions of a violent and sexual nature. Suitable for 16+
