In Tara Arts' production People's Romeo is the retelling of Shakespeare's famous tragedy in the style of Pala Gaan, a Bangladeshi form of storytelling theatre. Rooted in the market squares of Bangladesh, this dynamic and engaging performance brings Shakespeare's text to life with a traditional Bengali blend of improvisation, live musicians and song.
