Passing Places archiveJoin the cast as they trace the journey of Alex and Brian, two young lads from Motherwell on the run with a stolen surfboard - its psychotic owner in hot pursuit! Their journey becomes an odyssey of self-discovery as their idea of a picture postcard Scotland is shattered by the people they meet - a Canadian geologist and a French sculptor, to name but a few - and the sights they see - nuclear power stations and ruined crofts left over from the Clearances. Billed as a Road Movie for the Stage, Stephen Greenhorn wrote this contemporary comedy for 'a lot of my friends who don't go to the theatre.' Innovative, and crammed full of up-to-date witticisms, the play asks us to question our own identity - which Scotland do you live in?
