One for the Pot archiveSet in the 1920's this comedy is about a gormless Yorkshireman, Billy Hickory Wood, who turns up in search of a &;10,000 legacy given to him by a wealthy Northern mill owner, with one proviso - that he is the only living relative of the late Samuel Hickory Wood. However, it isn't long before a procession of Hickory Woods arrive, all claiming to be the sole living relation and rightful beneficiary. This creates a bubbling brew of mistaken identities and ingenious deceptions which is finally brought to the boil with such a masterful coup that you will watch with amazement and delight.
