Details
A series of monologues by Samuel Beckett, accompanied by a new music commission from Alec Roth. Beckett's attention to musicality and texture in his writing has given his work a revered place in our theatrical landscape and his monologues are no exception, exploring, through a rich and elemental language, our relationship with the land and our journey through life. Roth's ongoing fascination with text and the voice mark him out as he responds to Beckett's texts with a new choral piece for The Sixteen. An event not to miss! Music commissioned by The Sixteen and Spitalfields Music with support from Spitalfields Music's New Music Commission Fund and Katie Bradford, the Idlewild Trust, RVW Trust and the John S Cohen Foundation. With permission from the Beckett Estate.
