Details
Oedipus has to find the murderer of his predecessor, King Laius, and at the same time he longs to find out who his own parents truly are: these two searches come horrifically together, as he discovers he has killed his own father and married his mother. The play dramatises the search for man's identity with unforgettable irony and power.
