Details
A large island near Sicily where hopeful boats from Africa go down. A general is counting the dead, victims of a search for a better life. He describes the drowned people - their lives, their journeys, their hopes and their ultimate battle with the open water. A singer from Benin reminds us of Africa, her voice resonating over the waves, across borders. Her music celebrates life as much as death. She sings of journeys between Africa and Europe, between here and there, between what we hope to reach and what we leave behind. UK Premiere. With subtitles in English. Suitable for all ages.
