Nine archiveLocked in a room, chained apart. Language is the only currency for two women being held against their will and comes to mean everything when a single word becomes the hanging point between life and death. Jane Shepard is an award winning American playwright and filmmaker whose work makes a powerful addition to the Gaea Festival, dedicated to celebrating strong female voices in theatre. Shepard's play poses the question of what could potentially happen when the system under which we live goes insane. Shepard's work explores a brave, tender and sometimes brutal search for meaning.
