Details
Created in rehearsal by a group of teenagers and grandparents and drawing on real memories and experiences, the final text has been scripted by Manchester writer Sonia Hughes. It explores what it's like to be young and what it's like to be old - and what happens to the heart in between. The audience is invited to join the group as they try and explain what life looks like from where they're standing - as they celebrate their hopes, mistakes, dreams and passions, in one enormous party that slowly gets out of control. A fascinating new performance piece about being young and being old, is to premiere at Manchester's Royal Exchange Theatre during TaY: The Festival - part of the ground-breaking TRUTH ABOUT YOUTH programme.
