My Wife's Dead Mother/Love and the Piano/Through the Open Window archiveThese plays examine love and passion, obsession and desire between the sexes, highlighting that modern relationships and human folly are no way different from the early 1900's. Lurking beneath the farce and humour of the plays sits the violence of control and hate of human nature that passion and love can awaken in us. Through the plays My Wife's Dead Mother - calling your mother-in-law a camel can lead to a master class in arguing with the other half; Love and the Piano - a social climber from the suburbs goes to the city and meets a young and wealthy piano student, and notes start to be played out of time; Through the Open Window - a lawyer receives a visit from his hot Brazilian neighbour asking for an unusual service: we capture in a single timeless moment a madhouse of love, hate, desire and lust.
