Dodd and his son, Zak, live by the season of mushrooms. Across their county of East Sussex they know every species, where they grow, which are edible and which are poisonous. This knowledge not only scratches them a living from selling the fungi to fancy restaurants, but also feeds Jed's obsession to buy back the family farm. To realise his dream, no-one must ever discover what he and Zak know...This fast-moving, white-knuckle ride of a play is a dark tale of secrets and subversion, but also the moving story of a young love struggling to survive amidst the suffocating forces which threaten it.
