Mother Country archiveOut of the mists of time, two figures make their way. Old Ma Dob and her son Idle Jack, the original squabbling mother and son who love each other really. They're pushing an old pram full of stories - of beanstalks and giants, magic boxes and wishes - which they tell to get Jack out from behind his mother's skirts. At 32 he knows he should leave, but where should he go? Both funny ha-ha and funny peculiar, this warm play is a magical tapestry of action and image, song and puppetry. Suitable for children over 5 with their families.
