Details
Eighteen year old Mary travels to New York for a reunion with her long estranged song writing father. Her dreams of a happy reunion are shattered when she arrives to find nothing but an overgrown adolescent who has never faced up to responsibility. The feisty, sharp tongues young girl does her best to make sense of the broken shards that life has thrown at her, while her father is left to pick up the pieces. Set against a background of post-9/11 uncertainty in the capital city of rabid commercialism, a family's struggle to drop the past and find a sense of purpose for the future draws witty, poignant and tuneful parallels for all of us.
