Details
On a film set, in a Winnebago, Sue is making Kate up. Kate is a newly created star, she makes things up in front of the camera and in front of her colleagues. Sue is growing old; secretly tired and lonely, she is unsure what the future will bring. At home they both have people they need to make up with. This seventy minutes they spend alone together each morning has become their sanctuary; they are made up to have found each other.
Made Up is a heart-warming play about friendship and the faces we show the world. It has been made in conversation with women in the North East of England and in collaboration with a skilled make up artist. It combines spectacular visual transformations with funny and touching performances. It is close up and 3D especially for you.
