MacDeath or What's in a Name archive'Let's put it simply. You could say MACDEATH or What's in a name? by Delores Tremens is a spoof of the famous Scottish play by William Shakespeare. You could say it, and you would be right to do so, however, Tremens' text tickles, titillates and teases us in ways many and varied for both Shakespeare aficionados and novices alike. Scene by scene the original tragedy is wrung out for laughs, ridiculed or celebrated for its timeless genius. The characters occasionally reveal the actors underneath, abusing the plot, picking out the odd bit of panto, pun or punch line. '
