Details
County Limerick, Ireland, 1999. One magical afternoon in the fields of Corcamore, free-spirited Katie, arrives to paint Clugh-a-Regan, the legendary standing stone. As she sits the fabric of time stars to shift, and she is joined by younger incarnations of Triona, her mother, and Catherine, her grandmother. As the day unfolds, the three women begin to talk to each other about their lives and loves, try to make sense of the past and discuss their hopes for the future. Through their intensely personal stories, a portrait of a family, a country and a century takes shape. With his customary wit, sensitivity and fierce intelligence, award-winning playwright Hugh Leonard takes us on a fascinating journey, by turns nostalgic, comic and poignant.
