Love Comes in at the Window archiveA Double bill of love and longing. The Ecstasy is set in contemporary London. Amit is an angst ridden upper class Asian sculptor. Jackie, and older woman, becomes his model and surrogate mother. Their cosy intimacy is shattered with the arrival of Sanjay and complex secrets are drawn out into the open. Black Shalwar is an adaptation of Manto's dazzling short story, 'Kali Shalwar'. Sultana, a feisty prostitute, falls in love, not once, but twice and begins to lose her grip on reality. Filled with music and mirages, this smouldering tale evokes the epic romanticism of pre-partition India. In association with Tara Arts
