Details
Following a plane crash on an uninhabited island, the story follows the actions of a group of adolescent schoolboys as they battle against the elements for survival and supremacy. The island becomes a dark and dangerous place, where dreams turn to nightmares. A stunning tale of bullying, power, identity and violence. In the summer of 1953, William Golding submitted to his publishers a book ?about children on an island, children who behave in the way children really would behave'. Sixty years later, by kind permission of William Golding Limited, Magdalen College School Theatre Academy premieres a new adaptation of Golding's iconic novel. This production is the first spoken version to include music and, in particular, song to tell the story.
