Richard Nelson has adapted one of the best known and most controversial stories of the 20th century, LOLITA, from the novel by Vladimir Nabokov, for a 90-minute monologue. Humbert Humbert is a European intellectual adrift in America, haunted by memories of thwarted adolescent love. He becomes obsessed and involved with 12-year-old Dolores Haze; but first he must deal with the mother.
