Jeff is the doorman or 'security officer as he prefers to be known. He's a laid back, wisecracking guy who always tries to do the right thing but usually ends up getting it wrong. When he is attracted to Dawn and gets in-between her and her macho police partner, then becomes embroiled in the family problems of his security captain, it seems that his incompetent honesty is going to lose him everything. LOBBY HERO celebrates Lonergan's perceptive characterisation and innate understanding of human weakness.
