Details
Lives in Art follows the story of a sceptic who is trying to stop the creation of art. However, as stories unfold, music soars and memories of love and life come rushing back, the magic of art proves unstoppable. Passionate, moving and humorous, Lives in Art is a feel-good production that celebrates the life of the Crucible Theatre. The piece has been devised especially for the Crucible s birthday in collaboration with the company and scenes have been created throughout the play for all involved. Feature roles include Jean Cherry? a Crucible regular since the opening production of Fanfare in 1971 (and the oldest cast member at 87), Etienne Soubes-Goldman, a previous Crucible performer and one of the younger cast members (aged 13), as well as performances from an entire Sheffield family.
