In April 2009, newspaper vendor Ian Tomlinson lost his life at the G20 protests in London, opening an investigation that is still making headlines today. In August 2009, the documentary play examining Tomlinson's death was forced to close after the horrifying murder of an actor. The writer of the piece went underground, the director walked away, and the parents are still grieving. What went wrong? And who was to blame? Taking a wry look at verbatim theatre, James Fritz's darkly comic debut imagines what happens when you put the wrong person on stage.
