Details
Driven by love, jealousy and betrayal, Lear is forced into a savage world of chaos and ruin by the very people closest to the Monarchs' heart - her Daughters. In a world turned upside down Lear is thrust into isolation and must fight to cling on to her own identity, throne and kingdom. Lazarus returns to the greatest of the Shakespearian tragedies in this re-staged female led production that was first produced in 2012 at The Space. Infusing the text with movement and music, a large ensemble present Lear in repertory alongside Marlowe's Dido Queen of Carthage, marking Lazarus' debut at Greenwich Theatre.
