Take two wealthy families, add 250 assorted guests, mix with incompetent outside caterers and a well meaning but forgetful maraj and you have a recipe for a day of delight and disaster. Lagna is a comical and anthropological study of the phenomena that is an Asian wedding, as well as a sometimes amusing, often poignant insight into contemporary British Asian society.
