Welcome to Camden Town, London, 1903, with its burgeoning workforce of women, all of whom occasionally need the toilet. Local provisions for relief are scarce and those that exist charge an exorbitant penny-a-go. Local activist group the Edwardian Ladies Sanitary Association make a proposal to the local council to build a women's public convenience on Park St, which is greeted with unsurprising but enthusiastic horror. What follows is a battle of class, social mores and wooden toilets. A radio recording of a hilarious new comedy, recorded live at The Lion & Unicorn Theatre. Watch the magic of radio drama come alive on stage - live sound effects, live music, live microphones.... what could possibly go wrong?
