Details
The story begins in 1919, and the tubercular writer Franz Kafka persuades his friend Brod to burn everything that Kafka has written after his death. The audience is then transported to present day Leeds where in a middle class suburban sitting room sits Kafka obsessed Sydney and his frustrated wife, Linda. Into their midst descends the dead but lively Max, followed by a ghostly Kafka, and finally Kafka's father.
