From a miserable childhood controlled by uncaring adults, Jane Eyre learns to rely on her own resources and determination to make her way in the world. Employed as a governess, she travels across the bleak Yorkshire moors to the Gothic isolation of Thornfield Hall - a house of locked doors with a dark and dangerous secret.
