Hi-De-Hi! archiveThe hilarious stage version of the much-loved TV sitcom. Set in a 1950s Holiday Camp, the story follows Jeffrey Fairbrother as he gives up his job as a University Lecturer to take over as the Holiday Camp's Entertainments Manager. He immediately arouses the amorous attentions of Gladys Pugh, the funny Welsh Chief Yellow Coat. Featuring all the well known characters including Ted Bovis, Spike Dixon and chalet maid Peggy who dreams of being a Yellow Coat. With lots of antics, jokes, sketches and song and dance, don't miss out, book your spring break today! It's the start of a new season and founder Joe Maplin announces that he is setting up a camp in the Bahamas. He needs female yellowcoats to go and work out there and the annual ?Miss Yellowcoat' competition will decide who is to go. Rivalry between the girls is fierce, with Sylvia and Gladys joint frontrunners to win the coveted yellow sash. Camp cleaner Peggy, meanwhile, is thrilled at the prospect of a vacancy for a new yellowcoat and convinces Entertainments Manager Jeffrey that she is the ideal candidate for the job...
