He Taught Me focuses on the true story of a young boy on a journey of self-discovery as he explores his sexuality through having his first relationship with a man. A man who is much older and turns out to be not all that he appears. When lust and love turns into abuse and violence, we witness Tom become distant from his family, secluded and alone and learning how to fight for his life. This is a true story, inspired by past events from the director's (Kieran Luxton) own life.
