At 10 I had my first kiss, my first real, real kiss, proper deep. 14 all my friends turned on me. At 19 I noticed the blossom on the trees for the first time. 23 I planned my son's 1st birthday party. Acclaimed performance artist Mem Morrison, working with writer Sonia Hughes, has created Happy Returns through an exploration of the lives of the ten talented participants. Using text, movement and film projection, Happy Returns documents a funny and moving journey through past and present birthday parties, turning points and revelations.
