Hamlet: First Cut archiveA fast-paced thriller set in a world of paranoia and surveillance. An urban, modern dress production based on the First Quarto collected from the actors who first performed it: many believe this is the closest we can come to seeing the play as Shakespeare's public did. Muscular acting delivers some of the best words uttered in the history of theatre. An eerie, post-industrial landscape - a bold percussive soundtrack - a very contemporary Hamlet for the year 2000.
