Details
The drama opens at the London graveside of Florence Halpern, where her husband of 50 years, Joe, is paying his last respects. He is interrupted by a stranger bearing flowers, Dennis Johnson, a retired accountant who reveals that he was a friend of Halpern's late wife. Intrigued, Halpern meets Johnson for a picnic in the park where fury, anger, regret, love and loss are digested along with the salt beef sandwich and pickles.
